2026 Region 3 Science Fair - February 24, 2026

Bettie E. Woolfolk Middle School proudly celebrates the outstanding accomplishments of its scholars at the 2026 Region 3 Science Fair. Students represented Yazoo City with excellence across multiple scientific disciplines, earning top placements in highly competitive categories First place winners included Brysten Little in Mathematics and System Software, Elijah Parks in Physics and Astronomy, Jaโ€™Myla Mitchell and Maโ€™Ryian Watson in Plant Sciences, Elonna Bell in Microbiology, Dโ€™Ariel Collins and Armani Carter in Animal Sciences, and Drayla Bryant in Earth and Environmental Science. These students demonstrated exceptional research skills, analytical thinking, and dedication to scientific inquiry.

Additional honors were earned by Tayvion Sims, Kameron Jones, Marianna Green, Aโ€™liyah Harris, and Jazlynn Black with second place awards, while JheaBreia Miles secured third place in Robotics and Intelligent Machines. Although some participants did not place, their commitment to completing rigorous projects reflects the true spirit of academic perseverance and growth. The success of these scholars highlights the strength of Bettie E. Woolfolk Middle Schoolโ€™s science program and the continued commitment to fostering excellence in STEM education within the Yazoo City Municipal School District.
