The Yazoo City Municipal School District proudly celebrates Ms. Tommisha L. Johnson, Ed.S., Director of Curriculum & Instruction/MTSS, for being selected as a presenter at the Mississippi Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) 2025 Annual Fall Conference on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Mrs. Johnson will lead two professional learning sessions focused on strengthening teaching and learning across Mississippi schools:
Beyond the Core: Supporting ELA & Math Through Every Lens — an interactive session showing how all educators can reinforce mathematics and literacy skills within their classrooms to support student growth.
Getting Started with Instructional Groups — a practical professional development session that provides K–12 educators with strategies for creating purposeful instructional groups that promote engagement, collaboration, and achievement.
Mrs. Johnson’s selection as a presenter highlights YCMSD’s ongoing commitment to building instructional excellence and contributing to statewide conversations on effective teaching practices.
