Mississippi Achievement School District of Yazoo City

The Mississippi State Board of Education (SBE) voted in April 2019 to place Yazoo City Schools along with Humphreys County Schools in the state’s first Achievement School District. Dr. Jermall Wright, Ed.D. serves as the new Achievement School District Superintendent. Click for more information.

The Yazoo City Municipal School District serves students at six school campuses: Webster Elementary, McCoy Elementary, Woolfolk Middle, Yazoo City High School, Alternative Learning Center and the Larry Summers Vocational Center.
